Frequently Asked Questions

We know you have questions — all home buyers do! It’s a natural part of the process. We’re happy to answer the most common ones below.

What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a detailed report on the overall condition of a home.  A home inspector gives details about a homes condition structure, foundation, electrical, plumbing and other major components of the home. As a home inspector, we use our expertise and knowledge to relay this information back to the client in terms they can understand.

How long does a home inspection take to perform?

A home inspection usually takes 3-4 hours depending on the size, age, and condition of the home. Once the home inspection is complete, we will generate a detailed report of our findings and include pictures to explain the findings. A home is typically your largest investment you will make, so you are investing in your future by getting a home inspection now.

When will I receive my home inspection report?

You will receive your home inspection report within 24 hours after the inspection is completed; more often than not, it will be received the evening of inspection day.

Does a home inspection report include estimates of repair costs?

Estimates for repairs are NOT included in a home inspection report. It is in your best interest to get a general contractor to evaluate and give you an idea of how much the repair will cost to remedy.

Does the home inspection offer a warranty or guarantee?

We do not offer a guarantee or warranty on the home, and we also don’t partner with any companies that benefit from having your personal information. We DO guarantee that we will meet (or in most cases exceed) your expectations.
